Profession: Captain – navigator, tour guide, fisherman

 

Biography

Slobodan Petrović was born on Vranjina, the island and heart of Lake Skadar, where he grew up surrounded by nature, water, and traditional fishing life. His entire life has been dedicated to the lake – from fishing and navigating its waters to providing unique tourism services that connect people from around the world with the beauty of Montenegro.

From an early age, he mastered fishing and boating skills, continuing the heritage of his ancestors. His passion for the lake and navigation later led him to pursue formal education in maritime studies.

Education

Faculty of Maritime Studies, Kotor (2010–2015)

Major: Nautical Science

Earned a degree in Navigation.

Specialized in inland and maritime navigation, vessel operations, and safety at sea.

 

Professional Experience

Captain and Tourist Guide on Lake Skadar

Owner and captain of the only registered yacht on Lake Skadar dedicated to tourism.

Provides private and group tours for visitors from all over the world.

Creates unique experiences that combine sightseeing of the natural landscapes, bird reserves, and cultural-historical heritage of Lake Skadar.

Runs one of the few officially registered tourism companies with insurance coverage in this field, ensuring the highest level of safety and professionalism for guests.

Traditional Fishing

Lifelong experience in fishing on Lake Skadar.

Deep knowledge of the lake’s flora and fauna.

Shares stories and ecological insights with tourists, connecting local tradition with modern eco-tourism.
