מבוא – האי גוספה אוד שקרפיילה (Gospa od Škrpjela)

גוספה אוד שקרפיילה, או “גבירת הסלעים”, הוא אחד המקומות המרגשים, המיוחדים והידועים ביותר בבוקת קוטר (Boka Kotorska). זהו האי המלאכותי היחיד בים האדריאטי, והוא שוכן מול העיר פרסט.
האי הפך לסמל של אמונה, מסורת ימית ואחד מאתרי החובה לכל מטייל במונטנגרו.

איך נולד האי גברתי הסלעים – האגדה של האחים מורטשיץ (1452)

לפי המסורת המקומית, הכול החל ב-22 ביולי 1452.
שני אחים דייגים מהעיר פרסט – האחים מורטשיץ – מצאו על סלע קטן בלב הים איקונה של מרים והילד ישו.

לאחר מציאת האיקונה:

אחד האחים, שהיה חולה, נרפא באופן פלאי.

תושבי פרסט ראו באירוע הזה סימן שמימי.

הם נשבעו לבנות על המקום כנסייה שתוקדש למרים, מגינת הימאים.

כדי להגדיל את המקום ולהגשים את הנדר, החלו אנשי פרסט לזרוק אבנים לים מסביב לסלע — כך נולד האי.

פשינדה (Fašinada) — מסורת בת למעלה מ-500 שנה

מהנדר הזה נולדה אחת המסורות העתיקות בבוקה:
פשינדה – Fašinada.

בכל שנה, ב-22 ביולי:

סירות יוצאות מפרסט לכיוון האי

המקומיים משליכים אבנים לים

וכך שומרים ומרחיבים את האי במשך מאות שנים

האירוע מסמל אחדות, הכרת תודה והחיבור של אנשי בוקה לים.

כנסיית גבירת הסלעים — אמנות, היסטוריה ואוצרות ימיים

הקפלה הראשונה נבנתה זמן קצר אחרי מציאת האיקונה (1452), והכנסייה הנוכחית נבנתה בשנת 1630.

“רקמת הכלה מפרסט” – אישה שהמתינה לבעלה הימאי במשך 25 שנה, תפרה רקמה עד שאיבדה את ראייתה.
יצירה שהפכה לסמל של אהבה נצחית ומסירות.

תפקידו ההיסטורי של האי

במשך מאות שנים שימש האי כמקדש חשוב עבור אנשי פרסט:

כל יציאה לים נעשתה אחרי קבלת ברכה בכנסייה

האי היה אתר עלייה לרגל לימאים מכל בוקה

הוא נחשב ל”עין המגינה” על כל מי שיוצא למים

Introduction

Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela) is one of the most iconic and fascinating sites in the Bay of Kotor — and the only artificial island in the Adriatic Sea.
Located across from Perast, it represents centuries of maritime traditions, legends and faith.

How the Island Was Created – The Legend of the Mortešić Brothers (1452)

According to tradition, on July 22nd 1452, two fishermen brothers from Perast found a sacred icon of the Virgin Mary and Child on a small rock in the sea.

After the discovery:

One of the brothers, who was sick, was miraculously healed

The townspeople saw this as a divine sign

They vowed to build a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary — protector of sailors

To fulfill the vow, locals began throwing stones into the sea around the rock — slowly creating the island.

Fašinada — A 500-Year-Old Tradition

Every July 22nd, the people of Perast repeat this ritual:

Boats sail toward the island

Locals throw stones into the water

The island is preserved and expanded each year

Fašinada symbolizes unity, gratitude and the eternal connection between the people of Boka and the sea.

The Church — Art, History & Maritime Treasures

The first chapel was built soon after 1452, and the present church was completed in 1630.
